On these pages are found
activities and events involving the greatest asset of our parish –
our youth. In conjunction with our excellent religious education
program, we offer opportunities for youth to be themselves in a
faith filled and fun environment involving a mixture of liturgical
and social activities.
Baptism catechesis is
offered for parents of those about to be baptized. A "Baby Bawl"
is held twice yearly where parents of the newly baptized meet for a
light social with babies and their "prayer partners" in
attendance. A Playgroup meets weekly where parents can
socialize as their young ones play in a friendly environment. We
celebrate the Children’s Liturgy of the Word at Mass each
Sunday for those age 5-12. And, our
Youth Choir praises God in song monthly at the 4PM Sunday
liturgy.
The heart
of our youth programs lays in our
Religious Education program, where students from grades K through 10 are involved in
a variety of classroom, spiritual, and social activities. From this
group exist over 60 Altar Servers, committed to show
reverence and respect for the Lord in their service at His table.
Finally, and most importantly, we offer youngsters from grades 6
through 12 an opportunity for voluntary membership in our Senior
and Junior Youth Groups. The goal of our youth programs is
to foster the personal and spiritual growth of each young person,
and to draw him or her to participation in the mission of our faith
community. We accomplish this through a blend of social,
spiritual, and service activities. A typical year involves
Youth Masses, prayer opportunities, ski weekend, snow tubing, Walk
for Hunger, Harbor Cruise, whitewater rafting, pancake breakfasts,
amusement parks, skating, fun trips, hospitality hosting, and more.
Currently, over 100 members are active in our junior (grades 6-8)
and senior (grades 9-12) youth groups.

Our young
people are our greatest asset. They are not only the future leaders
of our Church, but are the Church, right here, and right now.
We are proud of each one of them, God’s precious gift to us. Our
priests, deacon, staff, catechists, and parish volunteers are
committed to lead, guide, and respect them always. Welcome to Saint
Bridget
